Legionella Awareness

About Course

Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia caused by breathing in tiny droplets of water contaminated with Legionella bacteria. This course explains where Legionella grows, who is most at risk, what the law requires from those responsible for water systems, and the practical controls that keep water systems safe.

It is suitable for facilities, maintenance and caretaking staff, landlords, care home and hotel staff, and anyone involved in managing or maintaining water systems.

This is an awareness course. People appointed to manage Legionella risks need further training appropriate to their role.

The course ends with a timed assessment. You need 80% to pass and can review every answer when you finish.
